We had a wonderful end to a wonderful season when we attended the awards night in our frocks.  We were delighted to be crowned winners of the Yorkshire and Humberside Club of the Year award.  Special congratulations also go to our very own Lynda Fluskey for her Coach of the Year award, and to Pam Hoyle who was the recipient of the Admin award.

 Thanks to everyone for a very successful season, and especially to Lynda and Pam – great work ladies!

There are a number of important dates coming up as we come to the end of the competitive season, please put these in your diaries! 

• Wed 17th March : C test at 8pm Shipley 3 v Shipley 5 Sue and Pam to test 2 candidates.
• Wed 21st April : C Course (Theory) at Bradford 6-9pm Elaine to take the course. Cost £10 per candidate from club. Names and money to Sue please asap.
• Wed 5th May : C Course practical session 6.30-8.30pm at Bradford 
• Wed 5th May : AGM 8.30 onwards at Bradford, please support this and make your ideas known.
• Friday 7th May : End of Season “Do” at Stanningley Rugby Club 7.30 onwards.
• Saturday 15th May : Goalden Globes Awards at Garforth see Pam or Sian for details.
• Tuesday 8th June : West Yorks AGM (venue to be confirmed but may be The Guide Post)

Leeds Carnegie Superleague Netball – Televised Matches

Monday 1st March 2010 – starts: 7:30pm at Ponds Forge, Sheffield – Leeds Carnegie v Celtic Dragons

Thursday 25th March 2010 – starts: 8:00 pm at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield – Leeds Carnegie v Surry Storm (this match will be shown live on sky sports)

No training on January 6th due to the bad weather – sessions restart at the usual times on Wednesday 13th January.

Great news to kick off the new year – there are two new CAPS accredited netball clubs in West Yorkshire, and we're one of them!  Both Shipley NC and Fusion NC now hold this status, well done to both clubs, and many thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.
