Shipley Netball Club News Letter January 2007

New Shipley Website

Lorna has set up the Shipley Website at http://www.shipleynetball.org.uk/ this will detail all the club fixture and social events plus other information. Junior Club

Well done to the Shipley Under 11’s – they achieved second place at the West Yorkshire tournament!! Hopefully the story will be appearing in the Telegraph and Argos soon. A massive thanks to all those involved – Fluskey. Janet, Zora and Penny.

Coaching Information

The coaches (Tanya, Liz, Janet and Penny) are planning or obtaining their level 2 coaching qualification in 2007 – please support them when you can.

Training Update

Training WILL continue through half term due to the fixtures  

Fluskey is investigating a 6 week Shooters workshop – for the firsts to the thirds between 8 and 8.30 on a Wednesday. Please speak to Fluskey for further information.

Social Update

Race Night – February 24th location tbc – partners / friends / family – all welcome.  Coming Soon – End of season presentation evening to be held for all junior and senior club members – potential date 4th May, at Goals near Hanson.  Further social planned at York Races in June for senior club members, costs will include a coach there and back. Vicky Callahan and Kelly McKrieth are doing the ground work and further information will be available soon!

Committee Meetings

The next planned dates of the committee meetings are: 8/3/07 and 10/5/07. If you have anything to raise or would like to attend please speak to Lynne Armstrong or Pam Hoyle

Finance

Please could everyone make sure they are to date with their Subs, affiliation and Kit money. Speak to your captains or Cath Holmes if you are unsure. Make life easier and pay your subs by Standing Order – speak to Cath Holmes or your captain to get a Standing Order mandate
